Lambda Family Raises $1,826 for Hurricane Sandy Relief

PARSIPPANY, NJ – In November of 2012, the national boards of Lambda Theta Phi Latin Fraternity Inc. and Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority Inc initiated a campaign to raise money for the American Red Cross and the victims of Hurricane Sandy.  Both organizations promoted the effort via social media and internal communication outlets (emails, meetings), and many entities within each organization worked together to hold fundraising events in New Jersey, California and Arizona.  By the end of the campaign in January 2013, a grand total of $1,826 had been raised and contributed to the American Red Cross.  Both organizations wish to thank the brothers and sisters of their membership for their generous contributions to this cause, and they encourage members to continue to contribute toward Hurricane Sandy relief through the many national and local avenues still available.  Although the hurricane occurred almost 4 months ago, many communities are still reeling from the devastation it left behind, and they continue to need our financial and physical help.
