Alpha Sigma Alumni Help Plan Harvard Latino Law/Policy/Business Conference

harvard-veritas-logoCAMBRIDGE, MA – Alpha Sigma (Arizona State University) brothers Marcos Valdez (Fall 2005) and Juan Durán (Spring 2009) are currently graduate students attending the Harvard Kennedy School of Government and the Harvard Business School, which in itself is impressive.  But they are also finding the time to further the discourse on important policy issues affecting Latinos through their involvement as organizing chairs of the 16th Annual Harvard Latino Law, Policy and Business Conference (April 12-13).  The conference brings together Latino leaders from the public, private and non-profit sectors to discuss the status of Latinos in the United States and spark new ideas for positive change.  This year’s theme, “Fulfilling the Promise” addresses the opportunities and challenges the nation faces as Latinos become an ever more prominent part of the country.

The conference promises to exceed expectations with like Representative Joaquin Castro (D-TX), Cesar Conde (President, Univisión Networks) and Fidel Vargas (CEO, Hispanic Scholarship Fund).
