Parsippany, NJ — Lambda Theta Phi Latin Fraternity, Inc. celebrated its 2014 National Convention this past weekend (June 19 – 22, 2014) in San Diego, California. Every year the National Awards committee selects a slate of brothers and entities that exemplifies the best of Lambda Theta Phi. Award applicants were vetted through a large pool applications from all over the country, by brothers who work in student affairs at four-year institutions.
The National Board wishes to thank the brothers of the National Awards Committee for their service in reading and evaluating the record number of applications this year: Anthony Lopez, Chair (Chi, Spring 2006), Jimmy Suarez (Chi, Spring 2006), Andrew Martinez (Chi, Spring 2009) and Michael Parra (Beta Chi, Spring 2009).
Congratulations to the brothers and entities that were selected this year, as their contributions are truly exemplary as leaders of the Latino Greek Movement.

Founded on December 1, 1975 at Kean University in Union, New Jersey, Lambda Theta Phi Latin Fraternity, Inc. is the first nationally recognized Greek-letter organization founded as a Latin fraternity. The membership of Lambda Theta Phi is open to all college men who support its values of scholarship, respect for all cultures, community service, and the advancement and fair treatment of Latinos in the United States. Lambda Theta Phi was the first Latin Fraternity to be recognized by the North-American Inter-Fraternity Conference (NIC), a member of the National Association of Latino Fraternal Organizations (NALFO), and has over 140 Chapters and Colonies across the United States.
