PARSIPPANY, NJ — Lambda Theta Phi Latin Fraternity, Inc. celebrated its 2015 National Brotherhood Conference this past weekend (June 25– 28, 2015) in Atlanta, Georgia. Throughout the weekend the Fraternity recognized a number of individual brothers and entities for excellence in academics, philanthropy, service and leadership that exemplifies the best of Lambda Theta Phi. Award applicants were vetted through a large pool of applications from all over the country by brothers who work in student affairs at four-year institutions.
The National Board wishes to thank the brothers of the National Awards Committee for their service in reading and evaluating the record number of applications this year: Vladimir Charles, Chair (Phi, Fall 2006), Robert Valderrama (Gamma Iota, Fall 2011), José Marroquin (Beta Psi, Summer 2005), Xajés Martinez (Beta Pi, Fall 2008), Roberto C. Orozco (FB Gamma Chi, Fall 2011), Alberto Perera (Phi, Spring 2013) and Jesús Chavez (Alpha Sigma, Fall 2009).

Founded on December 1, 1975 at Kean University in Union, New Jersey, Lambda Theta Phi Latin Fraternity, Inc. is the first nationally recognized Greek-letter organization founded as a Latin fraternity. The membership of Lambda Theta Phi is open to all college men who support its values of scholarship, respect for all cultures, community service, and the advancement and fair treatment of Latinos in the United States. Lambda Theta Phi was the first Latin Fraternity to be recognized by the North-American Interfraternity Conference (NIC) and has over 140 Chapters and Colonies across the United States.
