Lambda Theta Phi Announces First Induction at an Alumni Chapter

PARSIPPANY, NJ — The National Executive Board of Lambda Theta Phi Latin Fraternity Inc. proudly welcomes to the brotherhood the first ever graduate / professional line inducted through an alumni chapter, and the first line comprised completely of non-undergraduate inductees. This historic line was inducted at Lambda Beta Alumni Chapter in South Florida. The Fraternity congratulates and welcomes the new brothers of Lambda Beta’s Alpha Line:

Lambda Beta Alumni Chapter, along with these six men, have worked tirelessly during the past year to extend our brotherhood and mission to graduate students and professionals who are leaders in their fields and professions, and who embody the values and ideals of Lambda Theta Phi in their everyday lives. The purpose of the Lambda induction process is to further expand our notoriety, influence, networking capabilities, and professional networks with both Latino and Non-Latino communities outside of college campuses.

The Brotherhood and the Graduate / Professional Induction Committee also wishes to recognize the brothers who devoted their time, energy and passion to expanding the reach of Lambda Theta Phi and the Latino Greek Movement. Thank you to Pledge Master Javier Gonzalez (Alpha Psi, Fall 2009), Assistant Pledge Masters Peter Evangelista (Alpha Alpha, Spring 2009) and Luis Taveras (Beta Delta, Summer 2010), Brothers Alex Castro (Alpha Psi, Spring 2006), Will Hiraldo (Beta Iota, Spring 2011), Roberto Orozco (Gamma Chi, Fall 2011), Vladamir Charles (Phi, Fall 2006), Jose Mugaburu (Phi, Spring 2009), Javaris Edgecombe (Alpha Psi, Fall 2008), AJ Sweet (Beta Delta, Fall 2011), Felix Arroyo (Lambda, Spring 2000), and the brothers and leadership of Lambda Beta Alumni Chapter and Florida Sector 1.

Founded on December 1, 1975 at Kean University in Union, New Jersey, Lambda Theta Phi Latin Fraternity, Inc. is the first nationally recognized Greek-letter organization founded as a Latin fraternity. The membership of Lambda Theta Phi is open to all college men who support its values of scholarship, respect for all cultures, community service, and the advancement and fair treatment of Latinos in the United States.
