Lambda Theta Phi Announces its Newly Elected Leadership

Parsippany, NJ, July 16, 2010, – Lambda Theta Phi Latin Fraternity, Incorporated has named the 2010–2014 Board of Trustees and 2010-2012 National Executive Board (NEB). The new Trustee and Executive Board members will take office effective August 1, 2010.

The June 2010 National Convention hosted in Washington D.C. was a success with Brothers from across the country attending various workshops and meetings. Moreover, Brothers had the opportunity to elect Brothers into leadership positions. At the National Board meeting, the following Brothers have been appointed as Board of Trustee members: Brother Angel Pérez (Eta Chapter), Brother J. Kevin Jaime (Alpha Theta Chapter), Brother Anthony J. Pérez (Alpha Sigma Chapter), Brother Alex Feliciano (Epsilon Chapter). Other members of the Board of Trustees include Brother Jesus Peña (Beta Chapter), Brother Jorge Díaz (Beta Chapter) and our immediate past President, Brother Steve O. Hernández (Beta Gamma Chapter).

Bringing many years of continued dedication and experience to our national leadership, we are proud to announce the newly elected National Executive Board. Brother Pahlevi Garcia (NJ), the former New Jersey Sector I Vice President, will serve as National President. Brother Jorge Cariga (NJ) previously held the Northeast Regional Expansion officer and will now serve as the National Vice President. Brother Adam E. Grijalva (AZ) who served as the Administrative Officer for the Arizona Sector 1 will step up to become the Director of Communications. Brother Edward Samayoa (CA) will continue in his current position from the previous administration as the Director of Expansion. The former New Jersey Sector I Induction Officer, Brother Ariel Garcia (NJ) will serve as the Director of Induction. Brother Carlos Morales (NJ) will serve as the Director of Finance, Brother Jaime Olmos (IL) will serve as the Director of Collegiate & Academic Affairs and Brother Juan Mendoza (CT) will serve as Director of Alumni Affairs on the National Executive Board. Together with one vision, the National Executive Board will work diligently to meet the needs of Lambda Theta Phi.

Founded in 1975 at Kean University in Union, New Jersey, Lambda Theta Phi Latin Fraternity, Inc. is the first and largest nationally recognized Greek-letter organization founded as a Latin Fraternity. The membership of Lambda Theta Phi is open to all college men who support its values of scholarship, respect for all culture, community service, and the advancement and fair treatment of Latinos. Lambda Theta Phi was the first Latin Fraternity to be recognized by the North-American Inter-Fraternity Conference (NIC), is a member of NALFO, and has over 100 entities in: Arizona, California, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Iowa, Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.
