FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Parsippany, NJ August 8, 2011 – The National Executive Board of Lambda Theta Phi Latin Fraternity, Inc. is excited to announce the location for its 2012 National Brotherhood Convention – Barcelo Resorts, Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. This marks a historic event within Latino Greek Lettered Organizations as Lambda Theta Phi would be the first to host its National Brotherhood Convention on international grounds.

Hundreds of brothers from across the nation will gather in one of the oldest countries of the New World in order to continue the advancement of the organization. National Convention is held on even numbered years as a method to conduct normal fraternal business including the purpose of the Convention: to promote leadership activities, provide an opportunity for the brothers to network, further educate brothers on the ever changing needs of the fraternity and allow an opportunity for the brothers and their families to relax and get away from their everyday lives.

After hosting conference and conventions in such illustrious cities as Las Vegas, Nevada, Miami, Florida, San Francisco, California and even San Juan, Puerto Rico, Lambda Theta Phi has decided to cross unchartered waters and celebrate 37 years of commitment and service to its community in grand fashion. The 2012 National Brotherhood Convention is scheduled to take place June 21-24 and represents another first for Lambda Theta Phi.
