LAMBDA THETA PHI ANNOUNCES RECORD NICKEL DRIVE FUNDRAISING OF $13,732
PARSIPPANY, NEW JERSEY – Lambda Theta Phi Latin Fraternity, Inc. is pleased to announce that the Fraternity has completed a very successful philanthropic drive to benefit our national philanthropy, the American Heart Association. Throughout the month of November, brothers were challenged to raise $3,800 collectively in honor of our 38th anniversary. The successful completion of the 2013 Nickel Drive will go to benefit the American Heart Association in research of heart disease, stroke and other related health concerns, especially within the Latino community. According to recent studies published by the American Heart Association, 1 in 5 Latinos will die of heart disease. High blood pressure, diabetes, obesity, high cholesterol and physical inactivity all play a role in the increasing number of Latinos with heart disease.
