Committee on Social Activism (COSA)
These past few days have been tough for many of us across the United States, specifically those of the Black community. The Committee on Social Activism (COSA) of Lambda Theta Phi Latin Fraternity, Inc. is deeply concerned for individuals who are likely to experience similar circumstances; however, we believe that Lambda can make a difference by starting a meaningful dialogue and working towards constructive solutions in our communities.
We are in disagreement with human lives being taken away for senseless reasons and feel that this is the time to act and make a difference. No one’s life should end on a hashtag. We urge all our supporters, first and foremost, to stay safe. But most importantly, to engage into positive conversations with others in hopes of spreading the word about the importance of this situation and the need for change. This situation is affecting the whole country and we need a solution. Human life deserves much more value than this.
I hope you take the time you need to work through the grieving process. Let’s lean on each other for support and help uplift each other in our time of need. This is the time where emotional health and community are key. If any brothers want to share their thoughts please email us at so that we can compile them and add them to our blog.
Also, for those whose names we haven’t even heard about, but have been victims of these unnecessary killings as well, our support is with their families.
