Lambda Theta Phi is almost halfway (44%) to reaching it’s goal of $4,375 to send 125 Hero Boxes to soldiers stationed in bases abroad. These boxes will send soldiers some of the comforts of home like snacks, toiletries and tools that will uplift their spirits as they serve our country throughout the world. Lambda will be supporting five different units in the middle east with 125 boxes, and the ladies of Lambda Theta Alpha will contribute an additional 125 boxes for a total of 250 boxes to be sent from New Orleans.

555 Engineering Brigade, 56m (Army)
Duty: Build communities (enhance way of life) for locals. Train and support other units that fall in their brigade.
Location: Bagram, Afghanistan
Number of soldiers: 200 (16 women)

Duty: Combat Stress Clinic (see/treat soldiers with stress, PTSD & behavioral health issues)
Location: FOB Shank, Afghanistan
Number of soldiers: 60 (plus patients within the clinic)

Duty: Infantry (heavy fighting)

Number of solders: 121 (120 male, 1 female)
Items requested: Soap, baby wipes, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, shaving cream, razors, hand sanitizer, lotion, sunblock, shampoo, trail mix, jerky, hard candy, power bars etc.
A Co 4-3 BSTB (Army)
Duty: Combat engineers
Location: Kabul, Afghanistan
Number of solders: 90 (3 women)
Items requested: Any type of toiletries (baby wipes, hand sanitizer, deodorant, toothpaste, baby powder, sun block, lip balm etc.). Road Food (sundry items such as beef jerky, energy bars, dried fruit, sunflower seeds, trail mix, instant noodles/soup, tuna fish packets, hard candy that won’t melt etc.). Anything that is not easily perishable that will remind Soldiers of home!
