“I ASK”

Lambda Theta Phi Latin Fraternity, Inc’s., Committee on Social Activism (COSA), invites all undergraduate and alumni brothers to participate in this year’s Sexual Assault Awareness Month campaign, “I ASK”. For this month, we will once again partner with Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Inc., to launch a national campaign for sexual assault awareness, which calls attention to the widespread impact that sexual assault has on every person in our community. The theme of this year’s campaign is, “I ASK” and champions the message that asking for consent is a healthy, normal, and necessary part of everyday interactions.

The National Sexual Violence Resource Center is a great place to find resources to help your chapter with event planning, media campaigns, and other forms of educational platforms to engage members of your campuses/communities in the conversation around how to prevent sexual assault. For more information, please visit: https://www.nsvrc.org/saam to learn more about “I ASK.”

For this month, we are also asking all of our members to help spread the word through our social media campaign by using Instagram and Facebook. Additionally, we are asking that if your chapter is planning or participating in an event related to Sexual Assault Awareness Month, that you include the sorority hashtag, #LTAUnited so we can see the great work you are doing locally to raise awareness.

This month will include educational resources on the topic of sexual assault and how to engage in prevention, and what to do should someone you know has been impacted. In addition, we will host 2 webinars (April 10 and 24, 2019) so that you can learn, listen, and engage with sexual assault awareness topics. We are excited about this partnership and hope that you will be united against sexual assault by engaging with the “I ASK” campaign.
